Williams Avenue Technology & Learning Center & ClubTech One of the highlights of our Williams Avenue Education Programs is our Technology & Learning Center. Opened in October of 2001, the newly-renovated space houses a state-of-the-art computer lab with sixteen Pentium III computers, education and office software, and high-speed internet access. Adjacent to the computer lab is our beautiful new Learning Center, a library-like space with areas for members to do quite study work. The lab is open for our six to twelve year old members each day after school and in the evenings for our teen members. While in the lab, members participate in the ClubTech program, a Microsoft-funded project that give members basic computer skills and introduces them to digital movie making, music making, photography, graphic design and Web development using custom-developed software. A wide range of educational software is also available, as is the full range of office software. Evening classes for area adults are also offered, providing overviews of computing basics. Power Hour A comprehensive homework help and tutoring program, POWER HOUR is designed to raise the academic proficiency of Club members ages 6-12. POWER HOUR takes place in our learning center Monday - Thursday from 3 - 5:30.
