These programs help participants to develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment, and social and interpersonal skills.

Aquatics Program

Members of the Boys and Girls Club of East Providence have the opportunity of taking advantage of our aquatics programs run at the Frank A. Hopkins Pool. Programs include child & adult swim lessons and recreational swim for the after school programs.


Tidalwaves Swim Team (Schedule)

In addition to our general aquatics programs, EPBGC members have an opportunity to participate in our very successful Tidalwaves Swim Team. The Tidalwaves season runs fall through spring, and participants receive coaching to improve their swimming skills and participate in meets as a part of the RIMA League.

Basketball Teams

The Boys & Girls Club of East Providence Sponsors two basketball teams which participate in the Pawtucket Panther League: the Bulldogs, a 16-and-under team, and the Fireballs, a 14-and-under team. Their season runs fall through winter.

This year the Bulldogs will have an opportunity to defend their title as champions of their division. Try-outs will be held in the fall for interested participants.


Games Room & After School Recreation

The club also incorporates other recreation activities into our daily operations during the school year.

Our games room is opened September - May, Mondays - Saturday.

School-year hours are:

Members Ages Six - Twelve Mon. - Fri. 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. Sat., 9:00 am - 12:00 p.m.

Members Ages Thirteen - Eighteen Tue. - Fri. 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
